@jonok went on a bit of a protein bar buying spree the last time he was at Costco, so I've been slowly taste testing each flavor at work. These Trubars take a different taste and texture approach than the Simply Protein I've been trying recently. These are meant to taste like dessert! I'm not as big a fan of this dense, chewy kind of texture that these protein bars have. It definitely tastes sweet. I wouldn't say it tastes like a donut, but I knew that would be too good to be true! The 12g of protein and 3mg of iron is great. This could make a nice breakfast replacement, but I wouldn't be keen on taking these on a warm-day hike, because I could see it being prone to melting.
