Large braised 'meatballs' filled with some kind of firm but soft starchy paste (maybe yam?) and crunchy shreds (turnip or radish or water chestnut?), with a slightly crisp charred exterior. Swipe ➡️ for a close-up pic of the cross-section! 📸 Pleasantly surprised that it wasn't simply tofu or textured soy protein. Unique, toothsome, and quite reminiscent of the 狮子头 I used to eat in the past! 🍢 Non-veg family approved.
