Is it vegan? Is it not? This dish lead to confusion. It’s not on their vegan menu, but there are reviews here on abillion - so I asked in the restaurant. Server A said: not vegan. Server B said: vegan. Since this was the dish I really wanted to try, I risked it and ordered. Afterwards I reported this incident to abillion, they contacted the restaurant and the email said it’s vegan. 🌱 so let’s hope it is.
The texture of the mushroom is perfectly meaty and was the highlight of the meal. The black pepper sauce with it tastes boring and afterwards I realized that I probably have the same sauce in my fridge lol. Bought at lotus for RM5 per 400ml. There was a tiny amount of mashed potatoes with this dish, which were overly salty and had chunks inside. I prefer my mashed potatoes smooth. One piece of broccoli was with it as well - overcooked. What’s that thing on top you ask? Fried pasta. Tasted gross (or like nothing) and was only for presentation. All in all: not worth the money but still the highlight of the mediocre lunch. #mushroom #mushroomlover #finedining

Few weeks ago I treated myself to a birthday dinner at this place. I didn’t love it here honestly. Service was lacking for the price paid, food was average in taste but looked pretty.

Hmm, I suppose the only possible non-vegan thing in this could be the #hericiummushroom because a lot of the ones you get from suppliers in Singapore are suspended in egg white or pre-battered for some reason but otherwise… 🤷‍♀️
