Blueberry do Mush Oats —Avaliação do kyu (16 de nov. de 2023)

Premade #overnightoats are something I’d never think to buy — being that they’re so easy to prepare at home, and something I already make on the regular — but if my office wants to order them… well, I’ll gladly write a #forthedollar review on their dime. I believe they ordered it from Costco. I caught a glimpse of the box today; each 8-serving variety pack comes with 3 blueberry, 3 vanilla bean, and 2 strawberry cups. All flavors are vegan-friendly #ditchdairy I’m unsure what the savings are when buying in bulk, but according to a quick internet search, the regular retail price is ~$2 apiece.

For something with no added sugars, I was a bit taken aback at how sweet it tasted — almost like cane-sugar-sweetened yogurt. Something about it gave me the strong initial impression of honey, though I double-checked, and there’s none. I suppose must come from the concentrated apple juice (though I was aware that some vegan honey alternatives are made by reducing apple juice, I’ve never tried one, which is why I was so surprised.)

If you’re a #berrylover, you may be a bit dismayed: the #blueberry flavor wasn’t especially strong, but there were clearly purplish flecks present throughout, suggesting the use of real fruit. I wish the #oats had been slightly more fruity and tart. All in all, it’s a convenient option for busy/#lazyvegan days, but the more economical and environmentally sound alternative is to take matters into your own hands (and fridge.)
