Such a beautiful and generous dish but flavour-wise it was so bland. Everything tasted fine but it felt like the elements of the dish were not really interacting and it was in desperate need of some proper seasoning. It’s a shame because it’s such a great concept:

‘Aubergines, lentils, onion garlic in tomato sauce and béchamel sauce topped with Parmesan’.

I appreciated the side salad. I thought it was a good portion of food for R95 but since the flavour was lacking I won’t order this again.

Plant is a wonderful restaurant with lovely staff so I’m hoping the next dish I try there will really impress 🌱
