I grabbed a few sample bags of Hippeas Organic Chickpea Puffs at the Planted Expo show in Toronto in late April. I had never heard of this brand / company before, and I was totally impressed! Here’s a snack that is very similar to cheese puffs, but better.
Firstly, these are vegan! So there’s no dairy. Then, looking at the list of ingredients, they’re healthier. Who makes a snack with chickpeas?? (actually, chickpea flour) For such a small serving size, there’s a lot of fibre, protein, potassium and iron in every bag. Lastly, on the environmental front, many of the ingredients are organic. With that comes so many benefits for Mother Earth (which are mentioned on the back of the bag).
I found myself licking my fingers a lot and loving the vegan nacho flavour.
I’ll have to find out where I can buy these. I want to support a company like this!! I can’t wait to try the other flavours I got.

Omg I was at the planted expo too!!! I had these when I was in Ireland like 5 years ago and always look out for them cuz they are the best cheeze puffs, by far!!!! :)
All my vegan friends in the states LOVE these and I’m desperate to try them!!😭
