I don't usually sweeten herbal teas but, this one is a little bitter so I add some sugar.
Birch leaves contain flavonoids with diuretic and depurative properties used in herbal medicine to treat water retention. By promoting the elimination of excess fluids, they help to deflate the parts of our body that most easily retain fluids such as the legs, and with the summer coming on, this is just what is needed.
