Not Beef cubes are excellent for flavoring gravies and sauces. Pictured here is my freshly made seitan steaming on the stove in a pot of simmering Not Beef cubes and bay leaves. I recommend using an entire cube per cup of water even though the package says only use a half cube per cup. This makes the broth saltier but it's overall more flavorful that way in recipes.
