I didn’t get to try this French onion dip last time they cycled through but I did enjoy the queso version so I was excited to find this at my ALDI.

Unfortunately the texture is a bit gritty and not very creamy, which gives it an unappealing look in comparison to some other dips. The flavor is good but could be stronger. It mimics what I remember a French onion dip being like, but without the tang. Though I can certainly do without the dairy tang, it might benefit from a touch of lemon or vinegar.

Not a favorite but definitely enjoyable and reasonably priced for a nut based dip.
