My partner and I had been on the hunt for this kimchi since noticing it on the Woolies website for only 4 bucks! That’s like half the price of most kimchi we buy.
We eventually found it, in the pickled veggies, olives, etc, pantry aisle.
Disapppointly, taste-wise, it’s pretty meh. Aside from the hint of spice it doesn’t taste all that different from sauerkraut. It’s missing that zingy, spicy, fermented punch of kimchi flavour. Sadly the price is too good to be true 😅
I’ll probs buy this again since it’s so much cheaper, but it doesn’t quite hit the spot.

Agreed! So far the best I've found is the vegan one at Coles. It's indistinguishable from classic non vegan kimchi, and it gets better and better the longer it stays in your fridge 😊
