We received this as a free gift with our last #jumbo grocery order. I would never have chosen to purchase it myself, but of course I don’t believe in wasting food so I decided to use it to make spaghetti bolognaise 🍝
I had no idea it would bring back memories of my days cooking beef-mince for bolognaise … and that those recollections would make me feel physically nauseous just looking / smelling it. I actually couldn’t bring myself to eat it, even though I knew it wasn’t meat. Kids and hubby ate it and enjoyed it, although hubby admitted he had a similar feeling as me about it.
To make this a fair review… I’d say that if you are newly-vegan / looking for something similar to beef mince / cooking for omnivores… then this would be a good option for you 👍 the texture and taste of it is very similar to beef mince. I have nothing against the product itself, just a personal preference for me that I didn’t enjoy it.
