Pho Leicester

So this was either my first time trying pho, or it’s been incredibly long since I had pho and I just forgot.
The herbs on the separate rectangular plate were so fresh and fragrant, and I looooved the bean sprouts (that can’t be seen in this pic haha.) I do wish they had chopped up the herbs though so that the flavor would have blended better! The “chicken” was a bit disappointing, I expected the pieces to be fried or something but they were just thrown in. I also expected one or two veggies to be there (besides the bean sprouts) but nope, I would have needed to ask for veggies to be added for a price. Lastly the soup! :( I’m really sad to say that it was so, so sour it was almost not enjoyable. I naturally expected it be “hot & spicy,” but it wasn’t really spicy tbh and most of the flavor was just sourness.
My partner had one of the classic pho and the soup tasted so much better, so I will make sure to order classic one next time! This was £10.50 and it was not worth it 😩 Also this place automatically adds 12.5% more in your bill “for the service” and you would have to ask the staff for it to be removed, which I don’t think is a good practice. I think this would just turn people away, I will come back eventually because everything was fresh and nice but I wouldn’t make this place my favorite because of this. Just add it to the price of the food in the first place instead of being sneaky 🤷🏻
