The Body Shop

I’ve had this tiny bottle for almost half a year now and there’s still half a bottle left even though I use it every day, sometimes even twice a day. I was pleasantly surprised when I first started using it as it feels very lightweight on my skin and gets absorbed right into it without leaving my face feeling greasy. After applying my Tea Tree toner, I use this solution, about 5 drops on my face (forehead, nose, chin and cheeks) and gently massage it into my skin. I find that it greatly reduces the amount of oil on my face throughout the day and when I don’t use it, I get shinier earlier on in the day. It’s a really good product but please do a patch test beforehand as my friend tried it and her face turned red immediately afterwards!

gardengoddess I haven't used my bodyshop tea tree stuff in a while! I moved over to Clinique but I used to like this. Am now just looking for a natural tea tree oil that is not branded hahah!Reply
herbimetal @gardengoddess Clinique isn’t completely cruelty-free if you are looking for that, as they sell their products in China where animal testing is mandatory. It seems they don’t test on animals otherwise Reply
virtualputeri @gardengoddess I’ve loved Body Shop for the longest time, even contemplated working there last time! 🤣 I think their Tea Tree line is my best friend. I’ve been looking at Clinique’s makeup cleansing balm cuz it worked so good when I tried the tester at Sephora the other day but when @herbimetal mentioned it not being completely cruelty-free, that’s a little hard for me to decide... 😬Reply
gardengoddess @herbimetal thanks for sharing Pei Si! :) Reply
gardengoddess @virtualputeri we can talk about this in person ;) I find Clinique very effective. It has helped my skin through a very complicated and somewhat traumatic journey haha. Maybe you can check that the products you buy are ones not made in China. I tend to buy mine in the airport for the discount! They should know which country they import from. Reply
