So happy to find a vegan tortilla de patatas. Reminiscent of my time in Spain ( 50+ years ago, before I became vegan about 35 years ago) but the vegan version!

Carrot cake is one of their stronger cakes. This had a deep mixed spice flavour but a very sweet cream cheese icy that tasted more of sugar than cream cheese. The texture of the cake was kind of a box-mix job so it was pushing it a little for €4 a slice. Still, enjoyable to eat.

This was just ok. It just tasted sweet like a box mix cake and I couldn’t really pick out any distinct lemon or red berry flavours. Didn’t really taste like a €4 serving of cake. These guys used to source their cakes from an amazing vegan patisserie cafe called La Vegana, but since they’ve moved they don’t get them from there anymore and it really shows.

This was a montadito with aioli and vegan shrimp. It was tasty but there was only about two tiny vegan shrimp in the thing, which felt quite stingy. Ever since they moved from Triana I’ve felt that the generosity and quality of the food had plummeted. These montaditos used to come nicely presented with some potato crisps but no more, and instead of the gratuitous bread and picos served with every meal, they don’t give out the bread anymore and have just loaded their dishes with sad fries as a cheap bulking agent instead. I miss the old Vegan Rock 😕
