This fried kway teow had a nice smoky and savoury flavour, with just a hint of chilli. Ingredients included vegetarian prawn, bean sprouts, vegetables and bits of mock meat. Can request to exclude eggs. Available only on Sundays. #penangfood #friedkwayteow #charkwayteow

I think a good plate of hor fun comprises well fried smooth kway teow with a smoky aroma (that doesn’t clump together), as well as a savoury gravy that makes you want to slurp everything up. This hor fun has got both. Other ingredients include small cubes of fried beancurd, vegetables, slices of mock meat and fish cake. Remember to request to exclude eggs if you don’t take them. #horfun #flatricenoodles #kwayteow

$4 for this. Rice portion was huge but very little veggies. Wished they’d give more long beans especially since I requested to omit the egg. I like the chili and mock luncheon meat. Rice was fragrant too. Not a fan of the otah-like mock meat and (very hard) ikan bilis/ peanuts. Dont think I’ll order this again.

#kopitiam setting, hence the modest $5 for rings of #bittergourd, #tomatoes, #cauliflower and 3 cubes of silken #tofu in totally unnecessary, greasy broth. Chef can count, so can I 🙄

The mala soup with rice. Just dun want spend the minimum sum to order mala hotpot so got the mala soup instead. It tasted like mala hotpot but soup version. Too bad cannot choose own ingredients but all in all pretty decent.

A fan of laksa but this one disappoint me. Does not have the laksa taste. Abit like the maggi curry kind of taste. The ingredients is nice though. Strawhead mushroom beancurd skin not the fried vegetarian goose kind.
