I was in the UK only recently and sadly did not manage to find any vegan scones. I'm sure it's more widely available than I personally noticed during those couple of days, but I didn't find any. Was so cool to find them in this Amsterdam café. They were lovely - I was told they would serve it with plant butter, but the taste and texture was actually more like real clotted cream, which was very nicely done. The jam was also lovely and matched very well. The scones were very crumbly and not too moist and dense, I found them just perfect. I personally prefer them still hot, straight out of the oven, but it was really cool anyhow to have this Afternoon Tea with actual scones. Loved it!!
