This Canarian classic of "wrinkled potatoes" was one of two options we were able to come up with in exploring the menu with our server. Note that this dish does not appear on the menu, so don't be shy in asking for it!! The #potatoes were perfectly crusted with #seasalt, and the accompanying #mojopicon and #mojoverde were well-made. The views overlooking the harbor are mesmerizing, if you visit La Restinga and this is the only spot open for lunch (as it was for us!), it is possible with a little patience 😊. #elhierro #elhierrovegan #vegansfromcanaryislands #sinoesveganonoescomida #ifitsnotveganitsnotfood

After explaining we were vegan and then working through the menu with th server, we came up with two options for lunch in this port/diving town. With the ensalada mixta, ask to eliminate the tuna and egg - and you are presented with a veg and fruit salad. This consisted of #cucumber, #carrot, #corn, #peach slices, #beets, #redonion, #tomato and #greenolives over a bed of salad greens. The 11€ price for the menu salad wasn't modified despite the elimination of main ingredients, through all this the server made an effort to make sure we had a pleasant experience.
