I never liked bacon (even before I changed my diet) so I was always skeptical about buying vegan bacon… but glad I decided to try it last Xmas because I had the most christmasy *vegan* brekkies ever!! I was craving a BLT, so I grabbed this package of Smart Bacon by Lightlife. I'm impressed!! It gets crispy, but it still has a nice chewy texture. The flavoring is also spot on. This bacon is a treat to eat every now and then. I like weaving it into a bacon basket and filling it with Just Egg and avocados. #veganbacon

This is really not good to eat on its own because it's so salty. It really shouldn't be called "smart" with that much salt. It's okay crumbled in other dishes because it has so much salt. #veganbacon #salty #bacon
