So, I don't prefer canned foods in general after reading about BPAs. I'm still not fully educated on it, but i realize how many chemicals are harmful substances I consume and are in contact with daily. I prefer soaking my own black beans for soups, stews, etc, but we always have a few pantry staples in case we would ever need them. A lot of canned black beans are so bad (I'm looking at you, Fresh Thyme and Whole Foods👀), but Trader Joe's brand, I like. I've seen the opposite, too. Some don't care for TJs, but like WFs. These are made with sea salt 🧂 and are certified #organic. When you don't have time to soak beans, these are a great option, especially for tacos or in smaller dishes. Because they're already salted, I wouldn't recommend them for soup recipes as they can throw off your spice ratio.
