Helado Mora Lavanda

Coconut and almond ice cream from Costa Rica ! I saw this in the shop and had to try some. It was quite pricey but so is everything here especially if it's designed for visitors. The color was so beautiful, with the blackberries! I didn't really taste the lavender truth be told. And this #icecream was more fruity than milky or creamy. Didn't detect too much #coconut flavor. Yummy but all the blackberry seeds were a bit gritty for me. It was good but nothing amazing and I wouldn't buy again for almost $7 a small container. I'd like to try some more flavors. #vegancostarica

I was so excited to try this Helado Mora Lavanda vegan gelato 🤩🤩🤩🤩 Hmmmm. This beauty is made with almond milk and lavender flowers, and also blackberries and lemon. It is hard to taste the lavender amongst the others, but has the perfect texture and everything else was spot on. Beautiful, recyclable packaging, and… well darn, have to say that I just didn’t care for the flavor. I love lavender, but there was something else in this that gave it an odd finish. Hopefully your taste buds will favor it, as it still worth a try! If you are on the hunt in CR, the Auto Mercado is the only store I’ve found with such a vast selection of vegan offerings…and the vegan ice creams and gelatos were the holy grail with my tender mouth right now… I honestly had given up after checking many, many places.
