Hazelnut Fudge Vegan Frozen Dessert

I saw an ad or a post about this ice cream a long time ago and had my eyes 👀 peeled for it. I could only ever find the non-vegan version in stores. Well, Grocery Outlet threw me another curve by stocking this Swedish ice cream I’d been searching for (as soon as it is chilly out hahahaha)! I’m really impressed, as this is branded as a lower cal/lower sugar ice cream but doesn’t taste like it, at least to me. It has a nice texture and no strange sugar substitute aftertaste that I could detect. I didn’t realize it at the time of purchase, but it’s made with Perfect Day vegan whey. I’ve not had any other Perfect Day items before so I cannot compare it to others. It is extremely important, though, for folks who have a dairy allergy to be aware that this whey is used. My motivation for wanting to try this ice cream was not the whey or the lower calories but the flavors - especially this one! It was really good! The ice cream is sweet and there are swirls of hazelnut fudge throughout. I wish that there was more of the fudge! I’m not sure how much this ice cream would cost at full price as I could never find it, but it was a steal at Grocery Outlet for $2.49.
