Boom Bar Metamorphic Brownie

A great on the go treat. Find it a bit on the pricey side but did really enjoy it

This was so tasty! This one I didn’t find overly rich and I really enjoyed the balance of dates, dark chocolate and biscuit. I thought it was wonderful both taste- and texture wise, indulgent without being too heavy. R42.90 at Wellness Warehouse. It’s a pricey snack but the ingredients are quality. It has over 5g of both protein and fibre but is rather high in sugar and saturated fat. A nice occasional treat. Happy to have tried it :)

The Boom Bars from Nanuki are great, but this one wasn’t my favourite. “A date brownie on a crunchy biscuit base, covered in rich dark chocolate”. I’m not the biggest fan of dates (I was obsessed with them when they gained popularity in desserts, but I think I just consumed it way too much that I started disliking it) - if you enjoy dates, you will most probably still enjoy the date brownie part 🍫 I enjoyed the biscuit base and the chocolate coating 🍪 I would first try some of the other Nanuki products before thinking about getting this one again. I really enjoy Nanuki snacks, so I wanted to give this one a go. It wasn’t my favourite flavor, but it was nice. Quite an intense chocolatey taste. I like the biscuit base!
