Black Garlic Chicken

this Immi Black Garlic “Chicken” Flavor Ramen Soup was the second kind my sister and i have tried of the brand and they were both very hard no’s for us. it was easy to make and smelled promising but the taste was horrible, i don’t know if it somehow reminded me too much of chicken and that’s why i didn’t like it but i honestly think it was just a strong weird flavor. 🍲

After waking up to the awful news about my country yesterday, I knew I would be leaving work early. I could not stand being around people, especially people I don't know well enough to know their voting history. It's horrible knowing that I share a country with so many morally bankrupt and weak-minded people. I had so little faith in my country after 2016 and I have lost even more this week. I'm glad I skipped out on work early and called a few loved ones when I got home. I reached for some comfort food I was looking forward to trying. This ramen is marketed as a healthier, high-protein, vegan version of the traditional cheap comfort food. Of course making something healthier and high in protein often does unfortunately bump up the price a bit. I bought these a few weeks ago, so I forget how much I paid for them, but it must not have been terribly high. The noodles had an odd texture since they're packed with pea protein. After a few bites I was able to get past it. The broth flavor was nice but nothing too amazing. I added some red pepper flakes and Trader Joe's furikake seasoning to jazz it up more. This chicken flavored instant ramen tastes like the unhealthy ramen we all know, but actually has great macros. There is tons of protein. Pretty costly too. #ramen #veganchicken #lazyvegan 🍜

Super high in protein but also super high in sodium. The noodles have a tougher texture and different taste than typical ramen. The taste of the noodles kind of takes away from the taste of the soup. It was okay. Not terrible but not great either

Kinda mixed feelings about this one. The noodles are nice but quite tough, and the black garlic flavor could be stronger in my opinion.
