First time I tried jack fruit and the expectations were high. Of course this is not fresh fruit, but I understood that the flavour of this amazing fruit is neutral and the trick is in the seasonings. I did a pull jack fruit sandwich. Smokey bbq, paprika, cumin, and the result was good, but I will cook it longer next time to see if the consistency gets softer and tender and I will push on the seasoning a bit more. Who knows if in Italy you can find the fresh one…
