The loveliest evening at Nordik Spa☺️. There’s one vegan appetizer and one vegan main at their main restaurant. This appetizer was great. The tofu and beet tartare was so delicious. I loved the white truffle aioli, pickled onions and puffed rice. The crostini were crispy and were such a nice vessel for the tartare.
If you’re going to eat at Nordik, I highly recommend going to Restö, the main restaurant. I had two delicious dishes there vs two not-so-delicious dishes in the Panorama Lounge. This vegan tartare is tofu based with pickled cucumber and tomatoes mixed in, placed on puréed avocado and surrounded by a spicy beet reduction. The pita crisps are beautifully seasoned - almost like paprika and cinnamon? They’re so delicious and pair perfectly with the understated flavours of the tofu and beets. I also had the Vegan Soba Noodle Bowl at this restaurant but didn’t have my phone at the time. It is also delicious! #ottawa -ish
