Been wanting to try these for the longest time after dinding out they have vegan tarts. However, these were a little underwhelming. The pastry was mediocre and the custard filling wasn't any better than some instant custard. Not sure I would get these again unless I really needed a sweet treat and there were no other options.
Yes! This is how I remember them! 😊 😃 😀 Imagine our excitement when we saw this little shop has vegan natas. and oh my, they are delicious. Natas is a baked Portuguese #custard #pastry with a touch of #cinnamon. I will definitely visit them again. They are best eaten fresh, don't let them stand overnight (not that it was an option in my house) I think I paid R104 for 6 No need for scary ingredients, #ditchdairy #ditcheggs and join #veganisnotscary
Got it #forthedollar . A nice enough nata (custard pastry) but milktart and even Danish are yummier. The custard was a bit too sweet. Two natas for 🏷️R33.
Vegan Pasteis da Nata!!! 🤩🤩🤩Everything about this is beyond amazing and authentic. The flaky pastry, the rich delicious custard filling. I was blown away by the taste and many others too judging by how popular the vegan ones are. 😃
I walked past this shop and was so excited to see a vegan pastel de nata on the menu - something I never thought I would have again. It’s freshly made (you can watch them make them), flakey pastry, delicious filling and overall a new favourite. “Life is Short, eat a Nata” 10/10.
