Haha the jury is well and truly out for me here 😬 On the one hand their flaky and buttery #croissant is delicious, whether in an sweet or (as in their case) savoury combination 🙂 The overall concept was also decent - a #breakfastofchampions #fakemeat, some #scrambledeggs, and a sprinkling of greens. And I love the decor/style of the place! But the execution left a bit to be desired. Firstly, using a paper lining for a dish that requires constant sawing motions with a knife 🤦‍♂️Then the #carrot #pastrami was actually really tasty, but gave me bakkwa vibes 😂 The #scrambledtofu aka #fakeegg was much too sticky/moist to be convincing. And the worst part - who the hell puts the #evilweed in a croissant? You have to be pretty deranged to even come up with that notion, FFS 😒



First time here at LaGula. Visited The Hungry Tapir on a previous trip and was keen to try their sister outlet. Gorgeous interiors with a very relaxed vibe. This dish consists of black bean & soy pastrami, scrambled tofu, house made cheez spread and rocket. All wedged in a nice flaky croissant. Love this and the portion is just right! The scrambled tofu was creamy and delicious. The cheez spread was really good. All the ingredients came together very well. Price: RM22


What kind of sorcery is this? 🪄 Vegan croissant 🥐 meets vegan egg 🥚 meets vegan sausage 🤤 The #croissant was baked to perfection, was crunchy outside, perfectly flaky, had a good taste on its own - simply everything you’d want from a croissant 🥐 The #veganegg was a #scrambledeggs kinda style. I don’t know what they have done to the tofu to give it this amazing flavor and consistency - it was so SO close to real scrambled egg #scrambledtofu. Sorcery 🧙 Then we have the #pastrami made from blackbean & soy. A true #umamibomb. Perfectly pan fried for a nice crisp, while still maintains a nice chew. So many textures in this dish! As if that wasn’t enough already, the inside of the croissant was also smeared with a house made #vegancheese spread! Flavorbomb. Garnished with some spinach (menu says rocket, but I know spinach when I see spinach) and sprouts. 🌱 A divine and perfect dish!
