My husband stumbled across this restaurant the other day. He invited me because I am currently doing a sugar-free challenge. The restaurant advertises that all food and drinks are organic, local, vegan and sugar-free. Although sugar-free means they don't use refined sugar.
This tartlet was ordered by my husband. I had a taste of it. It wasn't overly sweet, but noticeably sweeter than the main dishes and drinks. The base tasted like a chocolate brownie but was quite doughy over time. The topping was quite sweet and cocoa-y. Normally it would be just right for me. But thanks to the Sugar Free Challenge, I avoid anything sweet, not only refined sugar, but also sweeteners and alternatives like date sweetener. That's still used to sweeten it there. Compared to other cakes, however, it's much healthier 😉 I'm not sure if it's the right one.
