Satay Sticks

Had it without satay sauce, 🥜 ⚠ Monkeyhead fibrousy and chewy. Your gonna need strong jaws for this, fully dentured mom couldn't gnaw thru it 🤣

Thanks to the collaboration between Vegan District and Pinxin Vegan Cuisine, I was able to get my hands on Pinxin's chewy Hericium Satay and nuttilicious Satay Chilli sauce without leaving KL. It took a while to cook the satay on a non-stick pan but it's totally worth the wait. It was so good that my non-vegan dad couldn't deny its yumminess.

These are so so so good. You must order them! They’re made from hericium mushrooms and they’re delicious.

There were actually three sticks for RM16 but the others got to them before I could get this picture. I always love hericium mushrooms but I felt that the peanut sauce was a little flat here, lacking in spice.

These hericum mushrooms have a super meaty taste and texture — you won’t believe it’s not real meat! The satay sauce is super flavourful, I could literally eat it by the spoonful.
