Sambal Monkey Head Mushroom Rice

The sambal sauce was really savoury and decently spicy, instead of just being too one-dimensionally spicy like I had feared! Generous serving too.

Mushrooms were crisp on the outside and succulent on the inside. Sambal paired nicely with okra and mushrooms. Delicious!

It is usually serve with lady fingers in sambal sauce, which I am not really fond of. The sambal sauce has the perfect spicyness level but I find it too sour. But the monkey head mushroom is really good. #crfsg
