When these came out I was a bit disappointed. I know it's a one letter difference, but these are MASHED potatoes, not SMASHED potatoes. Smashed potatoes are boiled, then smashed down once, and baked so they become beautiful crispy little potato bites. I wasn't prepared to eat a bowl of textureless potatoes outside in 80 degrees. They were fine mashed potatoes, just a bit unimaginative and mislabeled. I always like when the skin is kept on mashed potatoes. You need to specify you want this vegan.
