Lil Sly (on his first trip abroad away from @waterlily) was sooooo excited for our first proper sit-down meal in almost 20 hours (and after being surrounded by noise and people for most of that time). So we just had to write our first review before leaving this calm minimalist barefoot restaurant!
This meal was refreshing, #glutenfree, deliciously savoury with shallots, lime and kefir leaves (and yes that bowl is packed with mushrooms all the way down). It’s also packed with coriander 🌿 which I think is delicious but then again I don’t have THAT gene.
Compared to other food in Thailand this was slightly more expensive for how filling it was (139 baht). But all ingredients were really fresh and to be fair I was also staaaaarving and could have eaten a second portion easily so 🤷🏻♀️
What you also get are a homely kitchen, safe food you can relax about, wide windows and a sunlit dining space that’s a reprieve from sensory overwhelm. The little cherry on top was that there wasn’t a bit of plastic in my food either 🥰
