Pressed Pesto Grilled Cheese

Tried something new at Zammy’s. This is made with a house-made sunflower seed pesto, tomato, and cheese on sourdough bread that is toasted. The first bite is full of the pesto flavor. Then the other flavors of the sandwich meld together. Overall, this is a very good sandwich and one I would have again. My recommendation is to have napkins ready to go. 😁 The pic isn’t the best due to I ordered this to go and I wanted to try it while it was hot. Zammy’s food is incredible. I was hesitant to try it, especially the pressed pesto because I’ve never had pesto on a grilled cheese before, but I’ve gone back several times now for more! The owner and employees are also very kind and genuinely want everyone to have a good experience. I had an issue with an order, contacted the shop, and was able to get it replaced for free. (a refund was offered but I preferred a food replacement) Every restaurant will occasionally have hiccups and let a dish out that isn’t top quality, it takes a great restaurant to be so apologetic and willing to fix it. I felt like I was genuinely valued as a customer and I will continue coming here!

The last sandwich we split was the Pesto Grilled Cheese. We had to air fry this because it got a bit cold🤣📷 It has layers of cheese, tomato and house made Zammys sunflower Pesto. Its definitely one of their smaller sandwiches, but still a perfect size for a side! I recommend the Zammy's chips.
