Comes with kettle chips and salad, but we’re all here for the sandwich so that’s
what I’ll talk about. This sandwich comes with exactly three (3) little meatballs, which is about two less that could have fit into this sandwich which it was named after. Nevertheless, those meatballs packed a flavour punch. They tasted just like Italian sausage! The bread though was a bit on the cheap, white, doughy side and not the crusty, rustic, sourdough side, but that was ok because the meatballs and various sauces completely dominated the flavour profile. This may have been too salty for most people’s tastes, but as I happen to enjoy heavily salted foods, this was saline heaven. The tomato sauce under the meatballs and aioli(?) directly on the other side were just *chef’s kiss* together. Warning though- don’t even attempt to pick this up with your hands unless you are a seasoned giant burger and sandwich eater like myself who can juggle the contents inside well without it spilling out everywhere when you take a bite. However, I felt like there is no other way to eat this- trying to cut this up with a knife and fork would be strange I feel. So in that case, prepare to have juices and leaves going everywhere wrestling this into your mouth. A great first date dish! Yum.
