Mixed Rice

I'm forever ordering mixed rice - but hold the rice, just gimme the dishes please 🙃. This white daikon radish with wood ear looked so unassuming but it was DIVINE, simply stirfried with the unmistakable aroma of sesame oil. The good thing about ordering from an all-vegan store like Veggie 121 is that you don't have to worry about animal parts accidentally getting onto your plate, which I constantly have to grapple with even at vegetarian places where eggs and cheese are often regarded as okay for vegans 🤦🏻‍♀️. But I might have spoken too soon, because the tiniest fly did somehow decide to crash-land onto my plate. I tried to salvage it but it was gone too quickly 😞 RIP.

one of the most affordable options in the CBD ($3.50) and very yummy! gets crowded during lunch hour but the line moves pretty quickly anyway the strangest thing happened while I was buying this today... I thought I paid $10 but then the aunty said I only gave $5 so she gave me $1.50 change. I told her "but I gave you $10" and they insisted I didn't... it was super crowded and noisy and I honestly got damn confused lol so in the end I just let it slide. oh well 🥲
