Overall great dish though I did prefer the fish one to this — this katsu is a little heavier and is less palatable than the fish version… the more you ate it the less you want to eat it because it gets too filling?🐟🐷 Tho eating the salad 🥗 and drinking the soup 🥣 in between breaks up the monotony of the food texturally speaking
A beloved classic, offering a symphony of flavors and textures in every bite. Succulent, breaded plant-based cutlets are paired with a luscious, aromatic curry sauce that's rich in spices and depth of flavor. This dish promises a comforting and satisfying experience, proving that cruelty-free cuisine can be just as indulgent and flavorful as its traditional counterpart.
Crunchy and toothsome breaded soy 'cutlet' (not too greasy!) atop a bed of Japanese rice, served with chunks of carrot and potato in the curry. Enjoyed the great balance of spiciness, sweetness, and saltiness in the curry gravy, as Japanese curries tend to be a bit too mild and sweet for my liking. The bento set also came with radish salad in roasted sesame dressing, silken tofu miso soup, as well as a refreshing jelly dessert~ (Allium-free, $18) #sgvegan #japanese
Tasty, but cutlet was very much like soy. Big portion size and nice variety with yuzu jelly, miso soup and salad. Nice for sharing!
Huge portion size, worth $18 in my opinion. Katsu has crunchy breading, but the flavour and oiliness gets quite heavy. Curry has a nice kick and is spiced well. Potatoes and carrots are quite bland. However, the dessert (Yuzu jelly) is refreshing and delicious!
