On the Trattoria lunch menu is this wonderful dish of Heura strips sauteéd in a tomato sauce and accompanied by fresh #organic vegetables from their nearby eco farm. Tender #eggplant, #roastedredpepper and #zucchini were topped with fresh herbs including #parsley and #basil. The high quality of the sauté was evident, however I was a bit disappointed with the potatoes which were industrial-type fries. This is the only vegan main dish apart from a few pizzas which are vegan and specified to be without cheese. Priced at 16,50€.
This separate club area is wonderful and less crowded, and can be accessed without staying in the Hotel Jardin Tecina. The hotel website has a specific section dedicated to "vegan and KM0 but of course we were skeptical and had our doubts prior to arrival. But what a pleasant surprise! In the buffet restaurant there are specific areas with vegan products, so it eliminates having to "hunt" for things that you can eat. They also have an "eco finca" where they grow their own organic produce which is featured in many of their dishes. The property has 5 restaurants in total, ALL have vegan options on their menus and the views in all are absolutely stunning.
