Grilled tofu Sandwich

Had the grilled tofu sandwich at Lilac Oak and it was delicious! 🥪✨ The tofu was well-marinated and grilled perfectly, giving it a smoky, savoury bite. Loved how it was paired with fresh veggies and a tangy sauce that kept the sandwich light but satisfying. The bread was nicely toasted without being too hard. Cute neighbourhood cafe near orchard. Perfect for quick bites. I tried their tofu sandwich, lots of veggies and a chunky slab of tofu. Small menu but delicious wholesome food.

Love the spongy-ness of the tofu; it has a very nice bite to it. But the sandwich overall lacks a bit of flavour.

This came as a breakfast set at $8.90 nett with a black coffee. It looks ordinary but there's some fermented bean sauce with the julienned carrot strips that make this so tasty! The grilled tofu has great texture and is moist and yummy too. I really enjoyed the multi grain bread as well. I would recommend this for something filling, nutritious, simple and yet so satisfying!
