Genmaicha W/ Matcha - Looseleaf Tea

I've never had genmaicha before and I was surprised when I read up on it and learned that it has puffed brown rice in it! It's sometimes called "popcorn tea" or "people's tea" since the puffed rice historically acted as a filler and reduced the price. Even without milk, this tea is smooth and almost creamy. It's herbaceous but surprisingly warm and cozy. I added a little vanilla oat creamer because matcha and vanilla are a great combination imo. The mug was made by my mom (@amylou) 🥰 #tea #matcha #cabin
