"no" sugars haver do Oatly — Avaliação do miaouss (2 de mai. de 2025)

Incredible!

It tasted very different from an ordinary oat drink in all senses... And then I realized it was like cow milk 😱 and then I read all the small lines of the packaging looking for information, but it was written "no milk, no soy" 😱
You should know that I'm not vegan (yet), but I don't drink animal milk anymore (I can't ignore cheese in France. Besides, it is very difficult to find vegan cheese here. I'm so sorry for the cows, but we try to buy responsible cheese where the cows seem happy while they're alive because we know the farmers behind these cheeses and so). But last weekend we were at our friends house and they didn't have another option than cow milk for breakfast. I took a half cup and it was horrible...😭

For the ones who have shifted not so long ago, please tell me if I'm wrong or right on my thoughts! It is very disturbing haha

I ate cheese for many years as well before going fully vegan, thinking that it wasn't as bad or cruel as consuming meat. But it is worse. There aren't any "happy" cows. After female cows are artificially inseminated, their babies were taken away soon after birth so that all their milk could be used to make cheese - and the baby male cows slaughtered for meat consumption, and the girl cows raised to do the same as their mothers (but separated the same, so no cow milk is "wasted" on the babies). Then after their milk production declines, the mom cows are inseminated again to start the next cycle of cruelty. And it is the same story for all the other animals exploited for their milk.
