This is a wild dish to have at a prix fixe dinner. This is a full, super meaty sandwich! They could have maybe split it in half for a more appropriate portion. I was happy taking mine home to have for lunch the next day though. This super hearty Portuguese sandwich was loved by the late Anthony Bourdain. It's made with The Herbivorous Butcher ribeye, mortadella (a cured meat), sausage, cheese, and a fried egg (Yo Egg) coated in a tomato beer sauce. This was kind of an overkill version of a grilled cheese with tomato soup. It's the ultimate winter food, I haven't really had anything like it. The meats were tasty with the bread and tomato sauce. It's not at all delicate and a bit difficult to eat. It was paired with a strong red wine that could hold up to all of the fat and protein.
