I bought this bottle of 100% Pure Maple Syrup at No Frills. I don’t remember the price, but like all bottles of maple syrup, it was priced at a premium. And naturally, it was made in Canada.
Needless to say, it was absolutely delicious, and sweet!! One serving (4 tablespoons) has 50 grams of sugar, equal to 50% of your day’s recommended sugar consumption. That same serving also has some potassium, calcium and iron, but those quantities pale in comparison.
I haven’t tried the maple syrup yet on pancakes, but it was a sweetener in a sweet potato brownie recipe. The brownies probably turned out too sweet, but that’s ok. I trim back next time.
I would definitely get this again. It’s a much better and more natural alternative to table syrup.
