Boxes of Nature Valley Trail Mix - Fruit & Nut bars were available at Grocery Outlet for $1.99 (I think) some time ago. I’m not sure how much these bars regularly sell for, but $1.99 is such a great price. So I picked up a few after realizing this product was vegan. I was totally surprised and happy. I remember having these bars as a kid.
I love the softness and chewiness of these bars. They’re absolutely delicious. The main standout ingredients in these bars - almonds, peanuts, oats, raisins and cranberries - are all very visible and they come through in the flavour. It’s unfortunate though that the first ingredient is sugars (plural); each bar provides 7% of your daily sugar allowance. I suppose this isn’t too bad considering it can always be worse. Each bar also has 7% of your day’s recommended fibre.
Now that I know these bars are vegan, I’ll be buying them.
