I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed this food product before even though it’s been a while since I’ve last purchased it. I picked up this pack of The Good Veggie Burger by Yves Veggie Cuisine at Grocery Outlet for $1.99 or $2.99. It’s a good deal either way as the package contained 4 burgers.
Two burgers are stacked in each non-recyclable plastic container (🙁), but for whatever reason, I thought the container had 1 really thick burger. It was only while I was cooking it that I discovered I was actually cooking 2 burgers. So I had a double veggie burger for lunch.
These veggie burgers look and taste like their meat counterpart. Yves has done a great job replicating it (let’s face it, we all like the taste of meat, but not how it ends up on our plates). I just wish meat eaters would at least be open to sampling these burgers with an open mind.
Each burger provides so many nutrients, some in large quantities (like fibre, protein, vitamin B12, zinc, iron, just to name a few). Not unexpectedly, there’s also a lot of sodium in each burger.
I would certainly recommend these burgers and get them again.
