Wanted to try Monster Baby Doughnuts because, well, I thought it had a cool name! 😅
I asked the person working at the counter what they recommended for a first timer. He asked me if I like chocolate. This is obviously someone who hasn’t seen my Abillion posts! Haha! When I answered with a resounding “yes”, he recommended the Cookie Monster Doughnut.
This is very sweet baked good. The frosting is sweet and smooth but I did pick up on a slight oily aftertaste. But that is to be expected from icing products. The doughnut itself was not chocolate but it did have chocolate chips in the doughnut which is a unique idea. To top it all off, there is a crumbles on the top of the doughnut which adds a different texture with a slight crunchy element.
I looked at the ingredients on the plastic container in which the doughnut was served. There is a lot of stuff in this one doughnut. Is it the healthiest of options? Probably not. But it is a doughnut which is a slight indulgence, right? Is it good? Yes it is.
The one thing is like to see different is a more sustained method of serving the doughnut other than in a plastic container.
