this isn’t my first choice or necessarily the most “exciting” dessert i’ve ever had; however, it was executed AMAZINGLY. the vanilla cake was packed full of evenly distributed, fresh, and not over-sugared blueberries. it wasn’t super sweet or overwhelmingly rich, and i liked how i got a bit of blueberry in each bite. the frosting was texturally accurate to nonvegan frosting, and the blueberry compote on top was tasty and added a little fruity kick to bring the whole dessert together.

while this isn’t my go-to or anything, i definitely recommend it for fruit fans and those who may not want something overwhelmingly sweet.
