I wish they were still in business but understand why they had to shut down. These lasagnas were so amazing but the price point started to grow too ridiculous for their size, which suffered from shrinkflation - you can see here the indentation that was on all sides of the tin. One family sized, narrow and thin tray fed only 3 adults with no second portions. When I make a lasagna, it feeds 4 people 2 meals easily. I couldn’t justify that anymore and no one is going to pay $35 in the grocery store for such a small amount of food. When the government decides to do something about corporate greed, maybe we can have vegan prepared foods again. The proprietor told me a huge bag of lentils from his wholesale supplier went from being $80 to $400! Explain that. That’s not inflation at 7%. If this ever comes back on the market, we will all be better off. Until then I’ll be trying to recreate it in normal proportions.
