In the city of Kos, there is a restaurant serving greek traditional food... also in vegan variations! I was so happy to discover this restaurant on the @abillion map and even happier to taste a vegan #moussaka 😍 I never had this greek dish before, but heard a lot about it from a friend who is enthusiastic about greek cuisine. This hot meal was #sodelicious . It is traditionally composed of #potatoes , #eggplants , #mince (in this case vegan 😍😍😍) and #bechamel (also vegan, yeah!) and is one of the most common greek dishes. This #veganmoussaka was accompanied by #fries (more or less unsalted) and #coleslaw salad... for me, as always, the portion was too big and I asked to #takeaway what I couldn't finish to eat. On the next day, the moussaka continued to taste good, even cold!
Kos city has a lot of tourism and consequently also a lot of restaurants. We were there exactly one week ago, on a Tuesday evening, and didn't reserve a table for dinner. The server asked us to wait half an hour, since the restaurant was full with customers. This waiting time was perfect for us, as we had the time to walk to the close Plane Tree of Hippocrates and the harbor, where we melted at the view of one really friendly street cat who loved to be cuddled by strangers. @helena12345 , I hope you'll agree with me that this beautiful girl looks healthy and happy.
⚠️ spoiler alarm: my husband and I ate at the same restaurant some days later, for lunch, and a lot of cats were around then :) I'll show you the pictures when I'll do the review of my second dish there.
