I chose this hemp protein+fiber powder as a more budget-friendly alternative to the plant protein powders available at my local Walmart. The appearance of the powder resembles sand, and it smells similar to hemp hearts. Luckily, it doesn't feel like sand. While it works great in smoothies, I'm not so sure it'd be very good for use where it might not be masked by the flavor of other ingredients.
One thing I took note of is the serving size; you'll need 4 tablespoons (30g) to obtain 11g of protein, in contrast to the typical 1 tablespoon serving size of other powders for the same amount. But, this is a protein+fiber powder, so I assume that is why.
