
This amazing Vietnamese street food favorite, which translates to “chubby cake,” was made with banana leaves filled with sticky rice sautéed in coconut milk, stuffed with savory mung bean paste, and steamed until tender. Topped with five spice jackfruit, đồ chua (Vietnamese fermented carrots and daikon), jalapeños, fragrant fried shallots, scallion oil, and sweet and spicy chili oil sauce. This was one-of-a-kind delicious, comforting, and fun.
